First coral dipped, is this a normal thing on it?

Hello, I just dipped my first coral,
The coral looks perfectly clean but there is a worm like thing on the coral. Could be a part of the coral but I'm not sure.
Please help identify this so I can put it in my DT.

Is it a mushroom? Sometimes they spit up their guts when they are angry. Thats what it looks like to me anyway

Im not even sure which one it is. Here they call it red ear. So its not a pest or worms? Because It didn't release after dipping.

I bought it because it was the only coral without a ceramic plug very easy

Those 'wormy things' are part of the coral and are called 'mesenterial filaments':

As mentioned, corals can extrude these when they are physically or chemically disturbed. Once the irritating condition has been resolved, they will slowly be drawn back into the coral's body cavity.

Many corals can also extrude them to attack and consume their neighbors (corals are beautiful, but nasty!)
