Hey y’all so my tank is cycled and ammonia and nitrite readings are 0. I did a 40% change and I also added RO to make the salinity levels 1.023. I added a clown goby a yellow watchman goby and a royal gramma who looked distressed in the corner. Any tips and advice for first day fish and any procedures I can do. Lights off? Idk?
Thank you

Lights low and bring saly up to 1.024-1.025. Yours is a little low.
What is your nitrate and Ph reading and what kit are you using?
Dont worry about NitrIte unless sky high

Grammas and Watchmen like to have a solid place to hide when new to the tank.

Tank size?

a small addition of MB7 won't hurt, but just stay the course; no new fish, be ready with a couple of crabs and snails over the coming weeks -

and feed to what they will eat at first, refrain from excessive food on the bottom

Best of luck and let us know how she goes

I appreciate the advice I added some MB7 and let the lights run on low the clown goby is having a good time and I think she is opening up more I was just nervous. She was originally behind a rock looked low and weird and now she’s hiding in a cave peeking out! I plan to let this crew run for 4/5 weeks. Possibly in the coming week add a pistol shrimp. But at the end I will add a clown pair.

About right and the only part of API tests I trust.
I oftn suggest to confirm your Api readings, take a water sample to a trusted LFS that does Not use Api kits and see what readings they come up with and to compare with yours

PH fluctuates. Don't chase this parameter. Opening a window can change its value. I no longer test it very often but even 7.8 didn't harm any livestock in my tank.

looking good. Share pics? Sometimes when adding new fish, using some stability or prime for a few days can also help as they are recommended to use for adding livestock. Mb 7 is good too as that helps grow and increase your bacteria.

Also, start a build thread. Always great to see one's progress.

Thanks for the help and advice

Looks great. When you attach pics, if you want, you can "insert" and choose full size. Then if you don't want that big, you can grab a corner and resize.

In a month or so if fish are doing well I plan to add a clownfish pair as well as pistol shrimp for YWMG! Thoughts?
