First day of cycle, phosphates reading 1.35

Just started my cycle today, I'm using Red Sea reef mature to do so. I tested my phosphate level, and it read 1.35. I have wbkrn30lbs of dried Pukani in the tank, that I cured for three weeks, than bleached and dipped in acid. Are my phosphate levels cause for concern? Thanks guys

Does that mean I have to wait months to add coral, or can expect to battle algae for months to come?

Give it a couple weeks, the levels could die off. The only Pukani I have has been from mature tanks, so I cannot speak directly from Pukani experience. However, you should wait until your phosphates drop to close to zero before adding corals.

Are you running a skimmer? Do you have macro algae in your refugium?

Yeah running the ghost midsize skimmer, thank is a fusion 30, about 27 gallons. And no refugium, I was thinking about adding one though.
