First fill Waterbox 70.2

Hi guys,

Have had my tank filled it Natural sea water FINALLY!! Have the tank up and running and appear to have the flow set just right with the return pump and skimmer flow. Water a little bit cloudy guessing from the unwashed sand.

Now over here in Perth Australia the water is generally high in salinity currently my tank is set as 1.027 and temp of 25 degrees c or (77f)

Should i lower my salinity before starting the cycle or will this not matter?
I am using brightwell aquatics starter kit. Remove filter socks ect..

Guess its a dumb question.

After reading I will need to remove some water and replace with RO water to lower the salinity. Now I'm also having trouble with maintaining a reasonable water level in skimmer flow box and the return pump. Just can't seem to find that happy place. Any advice for a complete novice. Sorry for what could be a simple question.
