Hello everyone me again xD. Well a local pet store took my damsel for me bye and ty bud! And got my first permanent fish. A firefish. Here he is! Ty all for your help over the cycle. Any suggestions for good tankmates for him? I have a 20 gallon :D.

Orchid Dottyback... love mine. A pair of cool clowns as mentioned, a few chromis, diamond goby...

A cool clown, shrimp gobie pair, or a chromis. Make sure you have a lid on there or he will jump.
My first fish was a fire fish and that is how I lost him
R.I.P Flicker :(

Green chromis, royal grama they are buatiful, and some cool clown fish

Clowns and another small goby

A chalk basslet would work too

Royal gramma

Look into adding another 2-3 small fish and then you're done

^Agreed completely about another firefish. Possible additions can include barnacle blennies, stigmatura blenny, swales basslet, pink streak wrasse, possum wrasse, scissortail dartfish. Sunburst anthias, plectranthias, neon goby, watchman goby.

I thought anthias got to big for a 20 gallon.
I do love the look of sunburst anthias though :)

A sunburst will be fine, about the only anthias that will. They stay pretty small, are solitary, and aren't as active as other anthias.

Blennys are wonderful personable fish!! And clowns of course. :)

On live aquaria it says that they get 5 inches and need 70 gallons. Is this just an over exaggeration?

Tailspot blenny could be a happy choice - though you might want to wait for a bit more algae.

Would heartily agree on royal gramma, too. Both of those fish will center their activities around your rockwork, while the firefish will tend to hover in more open water. A large part of your choice will have to do with what you want to see when you look in the tank. If you don't like yellow or purple, then for heaven's sake, don't get the gramma!

I have a tailspot blenny and love his personality , loves live black worms:)
