Hey guys, my brother and I just finished the plumbing on our first frag tank. The dimensions are 23"x40"x7" with a 20G sump.

Here are some pictures of the rig

We want to start easy-growing coral, a pair of clown fish, and some anemones.

One of the questions we had was whether adding 3-5 pounds of live rock will raise the Nitrite levels of the tank and whether we should add in the live rock while we let the tank cycle before adding livestock. Any other additions or ideas are greatly welcomed :)

Thanks for the read!

Add it before the frags and let it cycle. It's best to get that outta the way before you fight a cycle and algae bloom with new corals in tank. Also once ya see a lil algae, get some snails to eat the algae or you will be fighting algae for a long time to come!

Thanks for the advice! We will be sure to look for some snails to add in as well to fight algae when the time comes.
