My system is 11 months old and I finally decided to send off an ICP test now that my parameters have stabilized a bit to see what they say. For those of you with more experience w/ICP results, is there anything glaring here? My RODI tested + for silicon @ 28.59 but otherwise was 0 everything. Results are attached
I'm using Instant Ocean which runs higher so I believe that explains the ^ Calcium and Magnesium in my tank.
Out of curiosity I ran all the hobby grade tests I have and got the following results at the same time as the ICP was collected. I'm sharing this because it's an interesting data point & I previously went down the salinity rabbit hole and it appears VeeGee is closest to the ICP results.
Salinity (Milwaukee Refractometer) 36 ppt (ICP 34.86)
Salinity (Hanna Salinity Pen) 33.9 ppt (ICP 34.86)
Salinity (VeeGee Refractometer) 35 ppt (ICP 34.86)
Salinity (GHL Probe) 33.3 PSU (ICP 34.86)
Calcium (Red Sea) 460 ppm (ICP 518.5)
Alkalinity (Hanna) 8.9 dKH (ICP 8.48)
Magnesium (Salifert) 1455 ppm (ICP 1424)
Nitrate (Hanna HR) 8.1 ppm (ICP 8.97)
Phosphate (Hanna ULR) 0.08 ppm (ICP 0.02)
Potassium (Salifert) 390 (ICP 445.8)
I appreciate your insight!
