Working on my first attempt at a NSA rock setup for my new IM Nuvo 20. I’ve been looking through a lot of MarineCost’s stuff on IG and using some of it for my inspiration.

Here’s a couple progress pics of what I’ve got so far...feel free to give me some feedback/critiques.

In the 2nd pic I haven’t glued that support part of the right side of the arch yet. Still trying to decide how I wanna go there.

You may want to do the following...either make a model of your tank bottom, back, and sides out of cardboard or use half inch PVC pipe and elbows. This will give you your space constraints. Make sure you plan to stay off the glass about 3” so when corals grow in you can still clean the glass.

Remember fish and inverts need places to hide so plan that according to your stocking list as well as where will your corals go.

Overall you have a really good start, once you fit it into your model provide a top and side picture also.

It’s hard to see in the pics but there’s an outline of the tank footprint drawn on the cardboard there and the height is mocked up on the cardboard behind it.

Here’s an updated progress pic. The main part of the structure is finished...now I need to figure out where to build the shelves.

Try this....
slide to the left fat bit to get off the glass, and turned whole thing 1 or 2 ticks counterclockwise.

Sorry, continuation, accidentally hit post...
Adjust front to back as needed. Take some flat rock and add to the 3 flat areas, 2 on left and 1 on right rear. Make the shelves point at different angles. You can also add a lat rock island to the front right And or back left.

I think you have a great start! I think the coolest part of an NSA is the three dimensional space you can occupy. I’d recommend adding some branches coming out in all directions. This will add a lot of very cool depth and more surface area for corals. It’s also important to remember that we are using less rock with these NSA so the more branching pieces and more surfaceArea for filtration the better

Thanks. I forgot to update this...here’s how it turned out.

Looks awesome! Excited to see it grown out. I’m voting to set up a 40B and I’m thinking a similar design
