First post, and I hate it's a question!

What kind of doser you had/have and what are you dosing?
What kind of coral food and how much you apply?

Make sure you turn you doser off for these three days, and no food.
You can apply some bacteria but only half dose as the directions say.

When after the three days off darkness you turn back on the lights make sure you cut the schedule in have and reduce the intensity 50%

Can you copy and paste the graphics of your schedule.

Only thing on the doser is alk and calcium, and I'm using a bubble magus now. Before I used BRS doser.

Coral food is the Zeovit coral vitalizer. 2 drops a day. And also sponge power and zeobak.

As far as getting a copy of the schedule I just changed it to zero lights, but it's just the regular radiant color program at 30% max intensity. I'll see if I can get a copy somehow without changing my light schedule.

Thank you for your help it is very much appreciated!

No Biggie, keep us up to date with your tank.
We are here to help.
And remember the golden rule "if you think you going slow, slow down even more!"

Agree with Diesel. I would go ahead and break down and get you a gfo, or biopellets, or even the ZEOvit system. Your acro will thank you. Good luck with the diatoms.

dont forget Brightwell Phosphate remover or SeaKlear Phosphate remover. Both very adequatenatndoing the same thing as GFO.
Vodka Dosing would also be another good one instead ofnusing Pellets.

So do you think that schedule is okay? And thank you again

I tried bright wells for awhile by adding it to my auto top of system. Then I heard it doesn't actually remove phosphate from the tanks just binds them together but they are still there?

All covered up! 12 pm Tuesday, and I'll hope for the best!

I use SeaKlear, and it would all depend on your filtration system. the skimmer and filters are what removes the bound phosphates from the water. But, technically, it does remove the phosphates from the water column, if you were to test you would not test any phosphates. It does turn it to a gel type substance, in which I blow off the rocks and powerheads from time to time, but on my mind, its well worth it, being that its alot cheaper to use than GFO.

I'm going on my third day tomorrow and I just saw I had one of my fish at the top of my tank stuck in the overflow dead :( my PH must have fluctuated or something

Sorry to hear.
It might not be the PH but just bad luck for the fish don't panic and don't peek.
Remember after 3 days do a few small water changes.

Thanks for your words, unfortunately I did have a ph swing according to my Seneye :( I'm afraid to look in my tank and will wait another day

After 72 hours of waiting in anticipation for my chance to get to look at my tank, it has turned out BEAUTIFUL. nitrates are at 0 and phosphates are at .03.

All my tank inhabitants are alive, minus one fish. I had a PH swing that I don't think had anything to do with my lights being off.

All of my coral looks great, minus some purple hornets that have yet to open up.

Overall I am very happy! I started to use the bio product by thrive to keep my nitrates and phosphates down, and changes up my light schedule a bit. I'll keep a closer eye on my tank and go back to a water change a week, thank you to all of those who helped! Special thanks to diesel!
