First post here and a pic of my first coral. Candy cane, sitting about 20 inches below my ai prime in a 10gal nano. Placement ok? And what's that protruding from the center? Feeding tube? Newbie at this.

Sorry for the bad photo. Still trying to figure out what works best using my Samsung S7 Edge

Thanks!!

Was this photo taken shortly before the lights go off for the day or after the lights have gone off?

Welcome to R2R,

The protrusion can be called the oral opening. Corals change shape, expand and contract routinely. As long as they are expanding routinely all is well.

About an hour before during a 2 hour ramp down. I adjusted my ai prime settings and turned down the flow a bit and that seems to have made a huge improvement. Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks all for the welcome! So much has changed since my last tank 17 years ago. Having fun relearning the hobby!
There's always something new to learn :)

Welcome to r2r. Looks ok to me. See how it reacts for few days. If its a permanent thing, i'll be worried, otherwise it should be ok. My zoa's flip over time to time
