You guys can see the "floaters" ! The LFG said a canister is ok , I could put live rock in there ! So I pulled the trigger on an FX6 will let you guys know how it turns out.

Update! FLUVAL FX6 installed! My water is almost 100% clear in less than 24 hours ...........but , MAN !! My skimmer is ticked[emoji844][emoji23]

First, Welcome!! Also, did you acquire the entire set up or did you piece it together. That's a lil more advanced system besides the canister filter for a new reefer. There's a lot of great info here. As far as fish, there are a lot of things that could've happened. Did u qt all fish and inverts?

Thank you, great to be here ! I pieced together the whole system after doing alotta research....all the fishes were tank bred and were healthy and well when I bought them.

Dumaurier before you go any further, please please please read about quarantine. You have spent a lot of blood, sweat, tears to get your tank set up and something as simple as one fish / coral can ruin all of it.

A little prevention goes a long way.

Wow what a nice setup, looks great. I would stop the wave makers maybe for a hour at a time and just let the return do the flowing? Maybe that will help send stuff to the overflows?

Thanks , they dont completelystop but run at a minimum 0f 20% (I think) from 11pm to 6:30 am the following morning , more than enough time for stuff to get to the overflow, don't you think ?

Hi all! My tanks been through a couple changes /UPGRADES since ! I have sold my entire APEX system, I am in the process of installing a new sump with a pair of NEW Vectra L1 pumps with a NEW KRYOS chiller and I'm now looking at selling and changing my lights! I plan to go with a complete GHL lighting and control system! So at present I'm waiting on them to release the new PROFILUX4 , MITRAS lights and their Doser 2.1 ! Will post when it's all [emoji736].
