First post /tank starting a nano 10

Jisko has a point. Small tanks are risky, but can be done just fine. Water changes are much more urgent for us.
What are you doing weekly 10% water changes?

Our tank with previous owner. Did fine. He knew it was a little overcrowded and added a skimmer. Only did water changes every 2 weeks. He now has a 60 gallon.

even on my tank I do a 10-15% water change weekly. I also test water weekly, clean skimmer, glass, overflow box, and salt creep :)

also dont be so discouraged if you start to see that your corals color dont pop like the photos you see... most of them lights are higher end lights and even then some are just photoshopped my favorite light for a cube tank is this light I posted below. A reef shop in Rochester has this light over a cube tank and wow the colors are amazing. They have a scoly and a bunch of high end zoas in the tank... looks like something from a movie :D

I've been thinking of putting a kessil a80 over mine once it has cycled and is healthy

Stick to a budget you can handle. There will be lots of expense. The long cycle process is blessing in disguise.

Post a list on here of the equipment you are looking for. People may have some they are willing to sell. It could save you a ton of money.

yeah I actually have one of the bio skimmers for cubes and bunch of spare stuff... speaking of that I really should get rid of some crap.. I have buckets of old stuff in the basement i'll never use haha

I'm looking for a tunze 9001 skimmer myself.

Unfortunately my tank design doesn't allow for any hob equipment.

Hey everyone so i decided to get a 24 biocube instead and its been cycling for just a little over a week and seems to be on the right track

I don't know where you guys all live but I'm a nurse who is going to begin travel nursing and I need to give up everything. I will only sell my setup complete but it's a bargain especially for beginners if you're up to the challenge. It's a 28 gal Flugal nano reef that's been running about
8 years. Many of the rocks and fish actually transferred from my older 12 yr old tank so I feel so I feel this tank has been cycling the same length of time. The tank is very healthy and I would insist it only be seen filled. I have given away most of the coral but still have some mushrooms. There is 45Lbs of live rock. 4 pink bubble tip anemone.
1 designer maroon clown, 1 melanaris, 1 purple pin cushion anemone, 1 red cleaner shrimp, 1 royal gramma, 1 blue chromas, cleaning crew of assorted snails and hermit crabs.
The tank has a skimmer, I added a ultrablue light,
The lighting that came with the tank was suitable to sustain all the coral I added. The tank with go with the stand, all reagents and testing equipment , brushes, buckets, everything.
$450
