I am somewhat new to zoas/palys (started serious collection less then 1 yr ago), and up to this point, I've really had no major issues, so I'm not sure what certain symptoms mean. I have a few frags that I picked up within the last 2 months showing signs of not fully opening and having their "stalks" become what I would call skinny and shrivled a bit. They were on the bottom so I moved them up a bit. For the first few weeks they were fine, so I'm not sure what may have changed. All other established zoas are in good shape, so it doesn't appear to be a tank wide issue. I'll take pics if they would help.

I had that problem too and most ended up being a bit darker colored in the stalks....then disappeared.

Sometimes this will happen for no know reason... I am still puzzled myself. I sometimes think something may be bothering the frag like peanut worm or if the frag got knocked over and was not noticed for a day or two. Sometimes swings in salinity... At times changing flow in the tank will help. How old are the tank bulbs? I noticed in my 90 gallon poor issues with zoas over a 2 week period and changed my t-5 bulbs and that worked for me on the last issue I had... Maybe your bulbs have lost too much spectrum.... It is worth a try...

Bulbs are less then a year old. Like I said I moved them so I will see if that change helps or not. I may try doing a larger then normal water change to see if that helps as well. Strange that it is isolated.
