Hello everyone. I've been lurking around for a while now, doing my research, but I thought it was high time I created an account and said hi.

My build was a 40g breeder with a 20g long sump (some $1 per gallon love). It's pretty basic, being my first reef tank build. I've owned a predator tank in the past, home to a rather large spotted moray, and I have always maintained fresh water tanks.

The tank is currently 1 month old! And looks disgusting, thanks to some beautiful rusty diatoms. It is home to a pair of clowns right now, an odd looking asymmetrical guy and his girlfriend a domino clown. Somewhere under my rocks is also a grumpy coral banded shrimp. Few corals right now, mostly some lps and a few softies.

PICS!!!

I appreciate the kind words everyone! Sadly my research told me to expect the "no alibi" phase (cuz she ugly). I suppose I should reveal now that I am also not a bar back... or Tom Cruise. Just a lowly bartender who always had a thing for fish tanks. Cheers everyone!

Welcome to R2R and your new reefing family. If you can handle throwing some ice in a glass and filling it with Grey Goose, we'll get along just fine. Thanks for coming out of the shadows and introducing yourself.

WELCOME!!!

Thanks for the kind welcome everyone! While scotch is my personal preference while I am shoulder deep in snow, a glass of vodka and certainly a dark n' stormy are always doable.

Got home tonight to find a host of pods on my glass! Things are progressing nicely! Now to just wait out the diatoms
