I've been planning and collecting equipment for about a year and finally jumped the getting started hurdle late July, completed cycle about a month ago and here's where I'm at...

3 Koralia 1050 power heads

AquaC Remora Protein Skimmer

4 Bulb T5HO Light Fixture with 2 ATI Blue Plus Bulbs and 2 Generic Actinic Blue Bulbs

70 lbs of Marco Rock and 15 lbs of Live Rock For Seeding

60 lbs of Live Sand

I haven't added anything other than a Clean up Crew and an Emerald Crab, although I have a few hitchhikers which I'll add pictures of for help with more specific identification.

My current parameters are...

Nitrates - 0
Nitrites - 0
Ammonia - 0
Phosphates - 0
Salinity - 1.025
Calcium - 460
Alkalinity - 11dkh
Temp - 78
PH - 8.2

I have a small issue with Diatoms which I've been told is normal and there has been a small bloom in what I think is Hair Algae growing over the Diatoms. Below are some pictures hopefully someone can help me identify some of the critters I currently have in the Tank...

Nice tank! I like the rockwork :)
The first pic looks like it could be a nudibranch, most die off in captivity as most feed on specific types of sponge we can't provide. The second is a tube worm, a harmless filter feeder and I don't know the third sorry.

Some nudis do eat corals, though, so beware...
That tube worm would LOVE being fed. I believe they consume phytoplankton and tiny organisms. They may even take some types of TINY prepared food (think frozen rotifers, or perhaps Goniopower, a food developed for Goniopora coral.) Most of these harmless filter feeders will starve to death in aquaria unless fed. If it sheds its feathery crown and grows one that's smaller, it is not getting enough food and will eventually perish.
That last photo is probably a mushroom coral. These can take over, so you may wish to remove and sell it if you won't want to deal with a rather invasive soft coral. If you do like them, though, they're easy keepers!
