Hi guys. Been browsing the forum for a year now researching and planning.
Finally got going this week.......

I've fashioned a handy shelf to hang my led's on my red sea reefer 350. Picking up the tank and sump next month and still need skimmer and return pump before I get cycling my live rock.

Trying to upload a pic but it's not working.

Welcome to the community! How are you trying to upload them? Can't wait to see the tank set up!

Hi shep
Trying to upload via the app and attach an image from my phone gallery.

Wee bit progress last night, got the temperature controller built and installed. Nice bit of kit for £13, the enclosure, trunking, relays and din-rail all free.....being a hvac controls engineer has its perks ;).

I've got a 220vac fan from a control panel, need to figure out a method of mounting it over the sump.

Hopefully picking up the tank this weekend. Still need a return pump and the rock so I can get the tank wet though.

One power strip for cooling fans, one for heaters and one the my leds are plugged into. .....will switch off when the fans switch on.

Picked up tank this morning, plumbed in and ro production underway......takes forever lol

Thanks very much, got the brackets from screwfix here in belfast.

Taking the return pump back to the LFS, very noisy.....its an Eheim compact 3000+. Anyone else had issues with these?

Tank filled! Now trying to tune the drain regulator valve to keep a constant level in the weir......so sensitive :/

Also got my cooling fan bracket made and mounted, works a treat ;)

Is it ok to leave the RO water circulating in the tank for a couple of weeks till I get the salt and the dry rock?

Just got a parking ticket so definitely have to wait for payday lol.

I'm just gonna add my salt straight into the tank with the water cold, let it mix for a few hours then heat it up to temp.
Then add the dry rock and a prawn.

Sound ok?

Just solved my return pump and reactor pump vibration issues.....silicone ice cube trays!

Gotta be food safe ain't they?
