So I've set up my first reef tank (been into freshwater for a couple years) and I got a pair of clown fish 3 days ago, they seem healthy and are eating, but HOLY COW they are FAST. They just race from one end of the tank to the other, back and forth and back, especially when I turn the lights off. They seem to like playing in the strong current of the powerhead as well. They've been eating since day 1 (I've got frozen brine shrimp, is that good? Is there something better?) Anyways, is this behavior normal? Or is it a sign of stress. The one thing I will say is when I got them from my LFS they were in water of 1.019 salinity, and I keep my tank at 1.025/6 for my coral. So I used a drip type method to acclimate them over the course of half an hour (after acclimating them to the temp for 15 min).

Any insight is helpful, thanks!

Mine were like that the first day or so, they calmed down though. It sounds like you may have acclimated them a bit quickly for that wide of a salinity swing, but I’m no expert by any means so I’m interested to see what others say. I feed mine rods and some NLS pellets.
