I have started my first 29G reef tank. What do you think the best stocking would be for a tank this size. I was thinking a pair of clowns and a few shrimp.
 
I think a yellow clown goby would make a nice addition
 
I like to recommend people look through build threads for similarly sized tanks and look for fish and tanks that they like, and then research the particular species or families that catch your eye.

Fish that I like are totally different from fish my friends like and probably from what you like. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Not bad if you stick to Occ or Percula varieties (the others get big and mean). I would also add the clownfish last. I would look at a Royal Gramma Basslet, A Clown Goby as suggested above or possibly a Pygmy Hawkfish if you want something different.
