I have experience with a planted tank, but this will be my first foray into salt aquariums. I'm hoping you guys are able to give me a sanity check on how feasible, or any potential problems you see this with this build.
I will be using either a 20gal long, or a 30 gal regular. Plan is to have mostly corals in this tank, with the for the following stock:

* 1 or 2 Ocellaris Clownfish
* A Goby from this list
* A shrimp and brittle star

Corals:
* Hammer
* Zoanthid
* Pulsing Xenia
* Either torch or GSP

Here's the equipment I plan on using:
* Refractometer
* Heater
* Filter / Skimmer
* Wavemaker
* Thermometer
* Auto-top off
* Light - I think this might be a bit overkill, but I am kind of a junky for wifi connected devices, and like the programmable features that I saw.

Thank you all in advance for the advice / suggestions!

looks good to me. Light definitely wont be "overkill" you will just need to dial the power down a bit. But that is a good introductory led light for a very affordable price compared to other options out there.'

In addition, you may want to look into salt, and RO/DI unit if you plan on making your own salt. Also a mixing container, extra heater and powerhead for the mixing container as well.
