First Salt Tank....First Post

Hello all!! I am new to the forum and wanted to show you what I am working with.

What I have:
36 gallon bowfront aquarium and stand
40lbs live rock
Aqueon 700 powerheads
Aquamaxx 100 HOB protein skimmer
Marineland 200 HOB filter
Aqueon heater
2 turbo snails

I have had fish in there before but took it down for a while and now am starting over. What are some good stocking ideas?

My thoughts:
2 Black O Clowns
1 royal gramma
Maybe some blue/green chromosome?

What do you think?
Ideas?
Tips?

That sounds like a great list fish! If you want your clowns to host a nem I would suggest adding the nem first. Also a dwarf angel would also be a great addition!

So add the nem first? I have never heard that. I have been told I would need to upgrade my lighting though. All I have is the lighting that came with the tank

You will need to upgrade your light if you want a better chance at keeping a nem.

You need a plan before we can help with that question. Do you want a nem? Do you want soft corals? Do you eventually want to try and grow sps corals?

Take your time and figure out what you think you want 1 or 2 years from now. Once you get there, then you can figure out what equipment you need to make that happen.

You will need LEDs or a high output T5 system

Here is great affordable LED system That has enough par to grow acros in you tank. It is full programmable so you can do set the intensity and do sunrise/sunset function.

Went to my LFS and they have Black O Clowns and regular so I'm good there. Might mix and match or is that possible? Also they have a green carpet anemone and I was wondering what anybody knows about it and if it is difficult or not?
