Hello everyone,
Sharing my first saltwater tank. Here is what I currently have for equipment and stock.
20g tall
30lbs live rock
30lbs live sand mixed with a small portion of argonite
Fluval aquaclear filter
Macro aqua m50 skimmer
Current usa ic led
Jebao ow10 wavemaker, set to random
Nano hydor wavemaker
Aqueon 100w heater

1xfirefish
2x oscelleris clownfish
1xhi fin goby
1xblue legged pistol shrimp
1x tailspot blenny
1x bubble tip anemone
1x zoa frag
5xCerith snail
1xcleaner shrimp
The tank has been running for almost 1yr and I am finally beginning to add coral, the frag just put in for about a wk.
What are your thoughts on this setup? I could use any tips or tricks that I may have overlooked. Also do you think this is to much flow?

Thank you

Good start! What are you doing for fresh water top off?

You might consider upgrading your lights. Your bubble tip will thank you and other corals will too. Respectfully.

Welcome to r2r!
I think youll want to be able to clean the glass so might want to rearrange the rockwork while its still easy!
Looking good!

Thanks for the ideas, didn't think of glass cleaning at all while shaping.

As for top off, I have a glass lid so not getting much evaporation so am currently doing okay without it. I have been doing 5gallon weekly water changes as well. Would just adding another led be good enough? or what lights would you recommend. I'm currently researching and think itll be awhile before upgrading so I'm going to see how this frag does first.

I agree to all above. Rearranging rock will be a whole lot easier now than later.

Regarding rescape, would you do it during a water change? Or completely remove fish. Typically in freshwater I would just rescape during water changes, but that got alot of debris into the water column. Would that be endangering my tank?

No. Should be okay.
