First saltwater tank! 29g biocube

So I just set up my first ever saltwater tank and I'm pretty excited it's a 29g coralife biocube. I added a fluval heater, a Rio+ 600 pump, and a Hydor 565gph wavemaker.

Today I hooked everything up and added 40lb live sand, some have said this is too much but I really enjoy a deep sandbed don't see the harm. Also 27 lb of dry rock.

Seeing as this is my first tank I'm obviously open to criticism and any ideas on what I can do to properly cycle the tank or just beginner tips in general would be much appreciated!

Lol idk why it posted the picture from above here's it from the front without water and now three hours later waiting for the sand to settle.

looks good! You do know you have a deep sandbed right? Most sandbeds are about 1-2 inches deep in most cases. Your looks like it's about 4 inches deep, therefore you have a deep sand bed.

Yes I said in the beginning that I knew it was deep I've researched it and like a lot of the fish and inverts that benefit from it and I like the look. Also thanks for the thread it's a really good read!
