I'm going to fill it with fish, and hopefully some hardy soft corals.

My equipment list:
  • Tank: 300g-ish by Customaquariums.com (96”L x 24”W x 30”H)
    • Peninsula Setup
    • 3 super clear glass sides
  • Stand: Custom-built metal frame
  • Sump
    • Main: Reef Synergy TS-60 designed for the triton method + 70gal-ish
    • System Pumps: Two Varios 8 pumps
    • Heaters: Two 800-watt Finnex heaters
    • Heater Controller: Inkbird
    • Skimmer: Skimz
    • Refugium Light: Kessil h380
    • Auto Top-Off System: Neptune ATO
  • Control System: Neptune 2016 Apex
    • Lunar module: 4 light strip
    • Leak Detection module: Sensors everywhere
    • Breakout box: alarms, cabinet lights, etc.
  • Tank Lighting: Haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking Radion XR15s with Orphek LED bars
  • RODI System: Maxcap 5 stage Spectrapure
  • Dosing: Neptune DOS
  • Substrate
    • 400 pounds of dry rock
    • 280 pounds of sand
  • Plumbing
    • Formufit red and black PVC
    • Spears gates and valves
I'm going back and forth on dosing method to use, Balling, Triton, etc. etc.. My main goal is to avoid water changes, or at least leave it from a few weeks without worrying about water chemistry.

My family really likes triggers and puffers, and any bigger fish. I'd like to fill in the gaps with gobies, or any unique animals.

Sounds like a great build

I know you mention avoiding water changes, but you can make them much easier and build them into the system from the start to automate it, with something like DOS

It makes the hobby much easier and enjoyable, and I wouldn’t build another system without it

Maybe consider something like a calcium reactor for dosing, it’s easier on a tank that size. I use the Deltec Twin Tech 1500 although there expensive but fully automated

Just a few ideas anyway and keep the pictures coming!

Nice start to a nice build. I'm in the latter stages of my build, but we have similar stuff going on. Mine is going to be a FOWLR+ system however.

I'm moving towards a focus on fish, with a few wavy soft corals.

Sweet looking tank, and that is quite the lift table!
Luckily, my builder was able to borrow the lift table. It’s a glass aquarium so it’s really heavy and we were very worried about placing it. With the table it was pretty simple.

This is going to be awesome! Love the look of that wood already.

I had access to a lift table when I moved my 84x30x25 glass tank in to the garage, but we will not have it when we move it from the garage to the house :(

Getting started on the plumbing!
