Hey all!

im new here just starting my first saltwater tank. Just kinda wanted to show the tank in hopes I can maybe get some tips and advice from others. Tank is 15 gallon column with roughly 20+ (I believe) pounds of dry rock, just added 3 pieces of live rock yesterday. If all goes we’ll plan would be a mainly softy dominated reef with a pair of clownfish. Also just states noticing green and brown spots on the rocks, are these bad? Don’t necessarily know my parameters yet as the test kit I ordered is coming Tuesday, but salinity is coming out at 35 ppt.

Check this link out it will help.

Looks solid! No such thing as white rocks in a successful reef ;)

What kind of light do you have? No need to rush or worry, but the corals look so much nicer under something mostly blue. Hope you can watch your tv shows on-demand, cuz once your whites are done for the day, you'll be staring at the tank, not the booob-tube!

Lol Im running a fluval plant nano which was actaully designed for freshwater, will these lights be sufficient to grow corals or should I get the sea nano which is the marine version?

Also the light as a programmable timer which I have set to go blacklight blue after like 9:00 pm, I also changed the saylight hours to have less white, its just not as bright as before.
