First saltwater!

Everything is going well. You have the new light coming and mushrooms will usually move if it's a light issue. I would give him a day to see what happens before worrying too bad.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. Mushrooms will grow like crazy or just not grow lol. I thought I was going to loose mine then the next morning it split in two and now I have 2 mushrooms lol. I posted a picture in my tank thread.

I just moved him into lower light, just in case, and he seems somewhat happier now.

Ahhh!!! It's spreading!!!!!!

Completely normal. Still no nitrite? When did you do the last waterchange?

Hi! Sorry I haven't replied, I had to go on a trip. I had someone take care of the tank while I was gone. When I came back some of the algae was gone and I saw my first hitchhiker on the glass-a flatworm! Eek! Don't worry, I took him out. I'm definitely looking out for more! I did a water change just now and tested. The parameters are:
pH: 8.1
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 3 ppm

Next time test before water change but it looks good. You want your nitrite to always be zero. The waterchange is to keep nitrate down. Now don't do anymore waterchanges for a few days then retest. If your nitrite is still zero it is time to try adding another fish!

Get'er stocked!!
I'm probably going to get another fish next weekend. Right now I'm just going to get some more CUC to fight the algae bloom. @naiaid I probably not going to get a fish, but if I see a juvenile blowfish I might get it before it's snapped up. I want a juvenile so I don't have to worry about him getting too big to fast.

By blowfish are you talking porcupine puffers? Just so you know your going to have to buy extra cuc in that case! They are not invert safe. It seems you already realize they need a much larger space. I've not really seen them come in under 3 to four inches so good luck.

Oh no, clownfish, autocorrect [emoji23] [emoji23]

I got a blowfish! I also got a margarita snail and two scarlet hermit crabs that are working hard to fight the algae bloom right now.

Good news! The scarlet hermit crabs are cleaning up VERY well, the fish are becoming friends, and I just tested. Parameters:
pH: 8.1
Nitrite: 0
Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: 5

Just got a new light that everything loves! Also, I had a lid on before, but now I don't because of the light. Should I be worried that my bicolor blenny (or anything else) will jump out? Should I put it back on? It was kind of a pain because I had to hold it in place with tape.
