I've had this piece of sps in the tank for around 4 weeks now and some of the polyps seems to be white. Is this the coral bleaching?
Should I move it lover in the tank?

Running 2x hydra 26s

Parameters
alk 7.4
Mag 1300
Calc 415
Phos 0.1
Nitrate 5

Yea it’s not happy.
Try moving it to less Light and different flow.

The tank looks quite young. I’d have high alk and low nutrients it can cause those white tips you see there.

I've moved it lower down in the tank now so hopefully it will improve and will try raise my alk slowly. Cant seem to get it over 7.9 even though I dont have much coral in the tank to use it up

No. High alk , low nutrients bad.

Ahh gotcha. I thought 7.4 was pretty low alk considering other tanks seem a lot higher than that?
It is, kinda. I dose and keep mine at about 8.

With Luck , it’s just a bit too much Light too fast. It’s also possible the nutrients may be too low and the light a bit too much.

It is (sadly) possible if it’s a new tank , it’s just not ready for that coral yet.

How your no3 and Po4.

Yeah I probably put it a little to high up in the tank to start off.
Tanks just over a year old

Tested yesterday and nitrate-5 phos-0.1

Not bad. Over a year and you’ve got nutrients. Hopefully just Light to fast.

And yes , I have bought frags that just never did anything. Right next to a tank full that were fine.

Fingers crossed. I'll see how it goes in the new spot. Thanks for the help

What fish do you have in the tank and also you could lower the PO4 and it would be better however your ALK is fine but the real question is stability. Is your alk swinging more than 0.1 per day? If so that is too much instability. However and I feel like the a likely culprit you have a coralivore in the tank

Yeah working on lowering the PO4.
I have a blue tang, 2 clowns, 3 chromis, sleeper goby and a dottyback.
My alk seems to vary so that could be it, I'm manually dosing at the moment as I dont have a doser
