My Blueberry Stylophora isn’t opening... I just did an aquarium clean... vacuuming, removing hair algae, moving sand back, and am currently putting clean saltwater into the aquarium. The polyps aren’t open all the way and I’m a bit concerned and I’ve never had a Stylophora before... is it just adjusting? Is something wrong? I got it yesterday and it was open and doing okay, I moved it to higher flow as I’ve heard they like high flow and now it’s kinda closed

It looks fine to me, just acclimating. Mod flow should be fine. Be careful though, that green Montiporia has the potential to kill near by corals, I would not let them get much closer.

Congrats they are great corals. :-)

Wait, can it kill the stylo with like tentacles or something? Or just growing room. I didn’t think about growing room and thank you so much! Ive only done softies up until a month or two ago when u got a monti and then I wanted a stylo lol

It will not send out sweeper tenticals like other corals, but it will exhibit mesenterial filaments if another coral grows too close. Just something to keep in mind.

:-)
