Just got a bunch of coral from Mike of sexycorals and once I put them in my tank (mainly SPS) they (goldflake and regal)started nipping at a few of them... I guess I need to figure out if I want a Fowler or a lightly stocked reef tank full of corals and smaller fish...

How often are you feeding them? If you can feed a little more throughout the day you may be able to keep them from nipping at your corals so much. I put seaweed sheets in the tank in the morning and usually feed frozen and pellets twice a day.

I feed pellets in the morning and afternoon and frozen at night. When I had tangs in the tank I put nori in every other day and then decided to go angels and I read they like nori also. So I put a sheet in and they picked at it a few times but they didn’t eat it like the tangs did. The sheet would just get soggy and blow away in the tank. I guess the ones I have are not interested in nori but I see them picking at the rocks all day. I keep trying the nori but the same thing happens it just gets soggy and blows away with the flow after some time. My lfs only stocks formula one and two and some pe mysis for frozen foods. So no rods or lrs and I’m not going to order them cuz shipping is crazy expensive. I guess I could drive an hour to the next closets lfs and get some there but I’d have to make sure it doesn’t thaw on the way home.
