That's not the stock light is it?
no. AI Prime HD.
The stock light has basic white, atinic, and off touch settings. No scheduling available. Kinda useless.

The evo is a great tank. But assume you'll have to replace anything stock that it comes with. Great place to start. You can go slow and be fine. I liked the size, build, and hidden sump area. Feels well built. It is glass. It also has a hex design to hide the sump area and top water line. I'm obsessed with anything hex or honeycomb so that was the clincher for me. But it's relatively inexpensive for an entire tank set up. $150

From what I've read, yes.
I even liked its color tones. I just didn't like its lack of variety. No way to hook up a timer or to control lights without physically controlling it. Even if it's capable, you'd change it eventually anyways just for functionality's sake.

Would the stock light be good enough to grow zoas and other softies?

Yes. I bought my brother and sister each this setup. I added a korala nano pump for added flow. my brother has a few zoas, an acan, a favia, mushroom, gsp, and some random leather coral in his. Last time I saw his tank they were all doing well. For the $150ish I paid, it was definitely a great starting point for him. He's getting more and more excited about the hobby and wants to do a larger tank in the future because of his success with his. Even with the entry level equipment it came with

I just bought this tank!!! Can't wait to get it up and running.

THAT'S AWESOME! Post lots of pics when you get it set up. Now is the fun part. Getting your substrate and setting up your landscape!

ya whoever has this tank please post updates, thinking about getting one. Looks like it could be a good college setup.
