Make sure you rest your pressure and compare that against the recommended settings of your RODI unit. In my case, I had to buy and install a booster pump (very easy to do) to get the PSI up.

I don’t really forsee and issue with that being that we don’t have city water or anything we have well water so our pressure should be good

I urge you to check. RODI units often have a posted PSI in the user manual at which they run optimally. Running your unit at too low a PSI will result in it not filtering correctly and/or your filters expiring more quickly than they should.

I also don’t have a pressure gauge to check it lol, I do have a tds meter attached after the final stage so if I notice that I have anything above 0 tds I’ll shut it down

Something like this is all you would need. Goes right in line on your RODI unit just before the reverse osmosis filters.

Why does BRS recommend this? The Glycerin filled pressure gauges are our preferred gauge. Compared to an air-filled gauge they will be much quieter as water has a tendency to vibrate when running, as well as lasting much longer as the oil in the gauge will soak up the vibrations which can cause...

Yeah I know but at this point I can’t even get it to work because the connector leaks like crazy and sprays water all over no matter how tight I make it so I need to see if I can find a new hose connection fitting and if I can’t or if it still doesn’t work I am just going to get a new RODI unit that has all that built in from the startSomething like this is all you would need. I got it a long time ago when I was planning on having a tank and then my situation changed and it wasn’t possible I believe it’s a coralife one? If I’m remembering right, and no pest at all I like people looking out for me I appreciate it!

Well looks like booster pump is probably going to be required, I finally got everything working and the production is super super slow so I ordered a pressure gauge and booster pump from BRS so hopefully that will finally complete my setup for that

Well I pretty much have my scape figured out, and I already have my sand and everything else really just need to get the Rodi finally figured out and finished and get some water mixed up then it’s just gonna be a matter of waiting for the tank to get here and set that all up

The RODI water is now flowing and I have my scape all put together!!! That’s all 3 sides of the scape, for my first one I’m pretty happy with it and tried to make sure there’s not too much being shaded! Now just patiently waiting for my tank to be shipped and it’s going to be ready to get cycled!!!!

I am seeming to have a problem with RODI system though I’ve ran through about 10 gallons and I know that’s the break in period but it was running at 0 TDS then for some reason now it’s running at 1 and 2 tds

I tried it again this morning and it’s now skyrocketed to 12-15 tds so I’m guessing maybe at some point when the house pump kicked on it may have boosted the pressure over 90 and messed up the membrane so I have ordered a new membrane and hopefully that works if not then I guess I’ll just get a whole new unit which would not be fun being that I already dumped so much more money into this unit

I emailed Waterbox and they told me they think my tank should ship this Wednesday or Thursday but I doubt Thursday being that it’s thanksgiving but I think tonight I am going to mix my first batch of saltwater and then patiently wait until my tank gets here!
