Thank you all. Everybody has been so nice and informative, without all of the linked articles and advice I definitely wouldn't have been able get started. Currently cycling, just starting to see some nitrates. excited to see it when it's up and running.

It's continuum aquatics Bacter gen m. It's specifically for marine aquariums and (according the the label and LFS) used for establishing tanks or for heavy bio load tanks.

Just curious, I tried Biopira last time I cycled a tank. I was just wondering if you used it and how well it worked for you.

It's my first tank so I don't have a lot of comparison. Nitrites still going up and I'm using an api ammonia test which I'm disinclined to believe, but the process did take off faster than I anticipated. I will try to keep posting updates and you know how long it takes me to fully cycle.
