After a long days work or away from your tank whats the very first thing you look at in your reef? Mine is my huge bright orange monti cap. I can pretty much tell how the tank is doing just by looking at that guy.

That is a tough one. I guess I check the fish first, then the acans, followed by pretty much everything else.

well this is sad but the first thing I look to see is if anything I am doing is reducing the algae!

i have to look at my purple tang and picasso's. i have to check and see if they have started getting anymore black on them :)

I pretty much just glance at the tank on the way in

an over all look lets me see that everyone is happy

Lately I have been checking on the new Hot Pink Yuma I picked up. Then I check on my chalices then the rest of the tank.

wow i must be the odd ball out of the group first thing i look at is the skimmer then the ph and temp on the Reefkeeper then the salinity
after that well thats about it maybe I am loosing interest?

Generally you can look at your tank and see if something is off.

Then if something looks odd it is time to check temp, pH etc.

Probably my niger triggerfish. I love coming home from work and throwing some thawed prawn in the tank watching him devour it.

Anything new to see if its doing well, then any new growth. then I make sure nothing is missing or doing poorly. there's never a shortage of things to look at!
