My first time aquascaping and I feel like I can do this all day! This is going into a 20G Cube. Consists of Caribsea Liferock: 2 arches, a donut and 2 branches which is close to 20lbs. I’m picturing the branches partially buried with sand, as home to some zoanthid/palys or mushroom colonies. Thoughts?

Everyone is going to have a preference and the one that matters most is yours to be honest!

I think you did great with the arches and cave in middle sections, great height too with those shelves up top. I personally can do without using those branch pieces (4 sticks on the bottom) as the rest of the rock formation looks great without the branch feet.

Either way, seems like you’re off to a great start!

Thanks for the feedback! I agree, looking at it today the branches just seem out of step with everything. I’m either going to bust em up or swap them for another standard piece.

Nice work. I think you would be fine without the feet but I like lots of bare sand. However, as arking suggested partially covered in sand might look quite nice.

Looks good. I can go either way with branches, especially if they are partially covered and with sand and the rest will eventually be covered in corals.
