Turned out better than I hoped. I'm sure it could be better. I can't wait until all my rock is purple! I spent over $350 on about 40 lbs of live rock. And only $75 for 40 pounds of dry rock. My hubby was gonna kill me if I spent anymore on live rock. Lol. Sorry for the cloudy water the sand stirred up a bit when I was working on it.

Looks great! Having all those spaces for fish to swim through is awesome, but just be sure those stacks of rock are stable. Don't want them collapsing and breaking the glass on ya.

Looks good. I agree with Russell because I just had a big rock collapse and broke a bunch of sps coral that had been in place for over a year.

I can't tell if the rock is leaning on the back glass, but I'd recommend against it. You'll get better flow if the rock is free standing. You can secure it with plumbers epoxy. I just used three big tubes to reconstruct my rock work.

Also, your dry rock will be purple in no time. You can always scrape the coralline off of the live rock to get it into the water column and help get some on the dry rock.

Thanks for the feedback. The rocks are pretty stable but I will look into plumbers epoxy. Is that something you can use while the rock is wet? There are a few pieces touching the back glass for stability but for the most part it's free standing. The ones touching are the ones at the top. Thanks again for the advice!

Yes, you can use the epoxy under water and it cures fine. Just make sure it says it is safe for potable water.
