First Time Dosing

Ok, so I've reached the point where things are growing out and sone of my numbers are starting to be out of range despite water changes.
Relevant numbers:
dKH-7
Ca-460
Mg-1140
My question is- should I try to dose just Mg first, and get that number up (I understand Mg has something to do with balancing out Ca and alk) or should I go ahead and dose 2 part as well as Mg (or maybe just alk at first- tank used to be steady at9dKH). Just looking for some more experienced advice on how to approach this, so I don't screw it up first try.

It is not needed to boost the magnesium first, but that is a fine plan.

FWIW, boosting the salinity to 35 pot (sg = 1.0264) will boost the magnesium to 1200 ppm.
