After a trip to lfs and not having what we are looking for. We got some fish from divers den. We got two gobys coming and 3 pj cardinals. Advice my wife works from home but I won’t be home till mid to late after noon.
Should she leave them in the box or just float the bags?
After a travel like that should we drip acclimate or get them out of the water right away?

I usually have my wife bring the boxes inside and I’ll open them mid afternoon when I get off work. Hope your first fish shipment a success.

Have her float the bags until you get home, then drip acclimate.

Its never bad to drip.

Float bags. Poke little hole to pipette a water sample, check bag salinity, make sure bag salinity and qt salinity are the same, open bag in qt tank. Fish usually come in lower than most reefers keep their tanks. Mine have usually came in at 1.020, when my tanks are 1.025. That big of a difference will kill the fish. Drip acclimating is also a bad idea because the water it came in will cause ammonia burn the instant it is opened. Once it’s open you want to move quickly and get the fish out and into qt with matching salinity.

If wife floats the bags, make sure she puts them away from the light, not directly under.
