Hello, My name is Michael and I'm new to r2r. I've always loved fish and tanks and this is my first reef tank. After doing some snorkeling on my honeymoon I finally made the decision to start in the reefing comunity with my nuvo 20. My tank is around 3 months old and knock on wood going pretty good. I have a 5 fish a couple snails, hermits, emeralds and skunk shrimp. (I know the tank is at its max if not over capacity) corals are acan, torch, hammer, mushroom, star polyp, zoos, montipora, and letpastrea. I have recently purchased a frag pack from world wide corals and was wondering what I can to really make the montipora and letpastrea take off? Side note world wide corals has awesome customer service. Any way if any one has helpful advice on best way to get those to take off I would appreciate it. Also what's the average growth rate on coral like that? Thank you in advance for your time and I'm looking forward to being a part of this community

Welcome to R2R. We are very glad you're here! I can tell you that all tanks are different and the rate of growth on every coral will be different according to the water parameters (Ca, Mg, Alk ect), the level of care, the lighting and many more things that contribute to coral growth. In general Montis will grow fairly quickly, but it still takes time.

Welcome to R2R and I agree with Meredith. There are numerous factors that will impact growth. Stability of those factors is one the most important things to keep in mind, at least in my opinion.

If it's Fast it will Crash!

Welcome to R2R,
Sounds like you have a great setup and looking forward to hearing and seeing the tank.

Thank you all for your response unfortunately/fortunately I didn't want to get so deep involved with this hobby, and I'm barely scratching the surface, but the happiness and satisfaction I get is well worth. Very excited I finally joined this community and hope to get very good information and one day hopefully help out some body like me.
