Hey guys! How would two AI Prime HD 16's work for lighting an acrylic 40 breeder? I am a beginner reefer and starting from scratch. I plan to start out with softies, polyps, and LPS corrals once the tank is established and maybe down the road have some SPS corrals. Would this lighting be the best entry path?

Will wirk well. Start with low settings and heavier on blue and slowly bring whites to 18% and reds up to 4%, same with green

2 Primes is a reasonable way to light a 40 breeder, especially for soft and LPS.
Best entry path? Everyone will have their own opinion on that, as there are lots and lots of ways to light a reef...including metal halide, T5, probably hundreds of LED fixtures, and some people do a hybrid of different fixtures.

What's the width of length of the 40? I went with a 32 gallon that's 24x20x15 (roughly) and I'm using one XR15. I thought about the Ai prime HD 16s as well

My dimensions on the build are 36 L x 18 W x 16 H
