First Time Salt Water Tank.....

OK question I got the live sand in. How long can it go in the tank before the water is added ?
A long time if you keep it wet. Shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't drain it when you add it to the tank.

The only thing I can see is the drains from the display should be connected to the sump with th grey threaded hose barb fittings. Other than that it looks like you're good to go.

Ok thanks for the info will get that changed out

OK, so hooking up the Apex when it comes to what should be plugged into it and what can do with out being plugged into it.

Do I need to get another energy bar8 or no need and just plug the others into non-controlled ?

What I have plugged into it is:
Return Pump
Skimmer
XF-280 Power Head
Heater
Heater
Calcium Reactor pump
Kelso Light over Reefugium
CO tank Solenoid

What still is not hooked up to Apex
DT Lights (have not gotten them yet)
Pump that feeds the Calcium Reactor
Pump that feeds filter cylinders
Power Head in Reefugium

Yeah i was wondering what i was going to do as well.

DT light, sump light, return pump, 2 heaters, skimmer pump, biopellet reactor pump, carbon reactor pump, 2 mp40's, doser, thinking im missing something but yeah. What do you do after you run out of plugs in the apex?

OK so I went and ordered my light today Giesemann 48" Aurora T5 Hybrid. The question is what is the combo of T5 to put in it for the best results ?

Wow great build. That's one of the sexiest sumps I've ever seen! Almost too good to get wet, LOL. Nice choice of light. I have the ATI hybrid. My build is similar stage to yours (just got water in & cycling) & similar size. Looking forward to following along.

Thank You M-Balf... Yeah it looks all nice and clean, let's see how long it stays that way

Congrats!

Ok after one night with the system running I have to make a change. The return pump is just to darn loud. Right now it is a BlueLine 70 just ordered a VectraM1 DC Pump from ecotech marine. Anyone run this ? Is it quite ?
