I am a first-time Saltwater user. I seen a lot mixed answers online from start up from $200-$800. I want to spend as less as I can to just establish a few clowns, shrimp, some coral and anemones for a 10gal or less. Can you tell me what all I need, best place to shop, any apps or websites for management and care along with comparability.

Thanks

Welcome to R2R! Lapin is spot on, check that forum and read up you’ll learn a bunch. Then post any specific questions you have once you have some of the basics down. The magnifying glass at the top is your friend too, I use it all the time to search for answers and am always successful.

@Gadamwoll - welcome to R2R and to the world of reefing! A few suggestions that I would make to keep your cost down are to learn as much as you can especially about water quality, be patient and you will find deals (some times very low cost deals), and get involved in the fish community (good karma will come back to you). Good luck!

I too will say welcome.

With a little time and perseverance you will be amazed at how well of a system you can put together for very little money. Just takes some time and a bit o luck

Welcome! I have to agree with everything that's been said. I'll only add that you should do your research before you begin. You absolutely can have a beautiful tank on a budget. Just start slow and have a solid plan for success. Good luck!

Marine depot has the nuvo 10 for $99 I think you can do what your wanting depending on what morph of clowns and obviously coral selection but you should be able to get a nice tank going in between the prices you had mentioned no problem
