Hi all. I’ve been buying water from my LFS for water changes.

I just set up my RODI unit and it is indeed producing water.

I’m just intensely nervous about adding my own mixed salt water for the first time. What if this thing doesn’t work?!?! And everything dies?!?!

anybody else experience this after making water their first time?

You really should before you use the water. Did you let it run for 30 minutes to flush the membrane before filling up your water container?

Get a TDS meter. Like anything else you add to the tank, it's always best (for your sanity, and your tank) if you have some sort of test results to know what exactly you're adding.

And RODI unit is pretty easy to use, but you wouldn't be the first if you made a simple mistake like saving the waste water and dumping the clean.

Edit: Wow. So much has happened in the 35 seconds since I read this lol
