First time with corals...Help, is this normal?

Ok, so just got in my new corals, Temp acclimated, water acclimated, dipped then put them in...Some look ok but others are looking rough...I know it can take awhile to settle in, but do they look ok?

How long have they been in the tank? What are your parameters... all of them? Where do you have them placed in the tank? What lighting do you have? How high is the lighting? What flow do you have? How much flow is there for what coral? We need a bit more info, please.

about 12 hours. Ammonia and nitrite at 0.Nitrate high at around 40 salinity 1.25 temp 78. haven't measured calcium lately. They are scattered throughout the tank, ill take a fts. The light is a current marine ice (or something like that, ill look it up) the flow is two current wave makers on 100%... I know it's really soon in their settling in period but I want to try to make sure the are happy and healthy...I have one previous zoa frag which has been growing a lot in the same environment...

They look just fine for just being put in the tank. It can take a few days for them to start to open up.

Worried that the mushroom seems to have left it's plug and migrated onto the rock...It didn't seem attached to the plug very well but is that normal?

CONGRATS On The Corals!!!
Everything seems fine. Even after you acclimate them to your tank, it'll take them time on their own to adjust to your tank. Remember, the lighting, flow, chemistry and the duration of lighting has changed for them. Kind of like jet lag if you moved to japan.
Mushrooms kind of do their own thing, similar to anenomes. Thats normal.
Most important!! Dont get down on yourself if you lose one or two from the adjustment. Sometimes they just dont make it no matter what you do. That being said, keep an eye on them, watch how they do, especially with the flow in the tank. Try not to move them around too much. Their strange. You can have leather hate flow, then another one live it. Just pay attention to them, but dont be an obsessive parent. Them them do their thing.

Ok, so I had turned the lights off about 30 min ago so they are all partially closed but this is where they are...excuse the 3 year old labeling...Mark up wasn't being cooperative...

I feel like a new mom lol... obsessive parent is kinda my thing with the tank...Although in a year and a half Ive on lost one fish...so it seems to be working lol...

From the pictures, lights looks pretty intense. What lights are you using? How long are they on?

What's your source water?

Lights are on from about 1:00 pm to about 9:00 pm... My water is from my RODI system with about 2 ppm tds...

Had to fin the paperwork, the lights are Orbit IC LED...Any suggestions on settings as I have tried to look online but haven't found much...

Your xenia might be getting a bit more circulation than they would like. Try a spot under the powerhead.
Thats a nice looking tank you've got already and TONs of coralline! It's going to be awsome in 6 mo.!!!

2 TDS is up there. When was the last time you changed the filters/DI resin out?

Thats a nice looking tank you've got already and TONs of coralline! It's going to be awsome in 6 mo.!!!

Why is all my coralline green? I have to scrape it from the glass a lot, but i just leave it on the back....I definitely over feed my fish because i like them fat and happy but it seems to grow like crazy...Thankfully since I fired the aquarium maintenance company and started doing it myself (for example, actually doing water changes) not more brown algae!

I have color changing Di that I just replaced and the other filters about the same time...100 gallons tops..

although my tap water measures over 500...may be the problem....needless tpoo say, the dog doesn't even drink tap water anymore...

It is difficult to glue mushrooms, so that might be why it fell off the frag plug. Mushrooms can move on their own, but not that fast in my experience. But, I agree with flipper that the lights might be a concern, with some of the corals placed high. If the lights really are super bright, then they can kill corals pretty quickly. I might consider moving the frags down lower, or even into the shade for the mushroom. However, it looks to like the paly and zoas are mostly open and the xenia is almost open, so that is all good!
