So It finally happened, I got ich in my main tank. I do have corals and invert so obviously I can't treat there. I lost my foxface to it and now I see some specs on my wrasse.
I know I need to qt but I don't know how as I've only faced ich once in freshwater before.(and won).
My livestock:
2 clowns
Royal flasher Wrasse
Yellow coris Wrasse
Longnose hawkfish
Lawnmower blennie.

I know wrasses can't be treated with copper so what do I do? How do I work this out. Any help is appreciated

Wrasses surely can be treated with copper! I use copper power as most do on the forums. I would setup a 20g long QT tank and pull all fish and bring up copper power to 2.0ppm. I would also use a Hanna copper checker to ensure that the 2.0ppm is accurate. Leave your DT fallow for 76 days to prevent another out break.

copper power works well, but remember, increase your dosage slowly and gradually to the level of 2.0 ppm. Otherwise, your wrasses may perish. Make sure you do have a copper tester on hand before copper's introduction. Be patient, don't rush things. Good luck.

So sorry you are going through it! Are you sure it is Ich? I had the same issue, but it turned out to be marine velvet which is much deadlier than Ich. I started treating my main display as I could not catch all of my fish. I lost 4 fish out of 8. Too much coral and rocks welded together to dismantle. I used the triple threat treatment metro, Kanaplex and focus bound to frozen food in my dt with inverts and corals. I used for nearly 2 months. I was really amazed how my Sailfin and hippo tang were cured as they were covered in white spots. Also used Kent garlic Extreme and Selcon and 40 watt UV.

My preferred Ich treatment, works pretty darn good on Brookynella too...

It looks like what I've seen in freshwater ich. Like salt.

I would suggest the Tank transfer method for the treatment of the fish and NOT copper. Also agree on letting the main display go fallow but be sure to continue regular feeding of living things in it, water changes, vacuum/stir sand, blow off rock, ect.

A simple search here will help you with more details or just ask :)

@Foxchase read up on everything from @Humblefish that you can. As others have mentioned you can use copper but it must be the appropriate kind. Also with a fresh QT and large bioload you may experience ammonia spikes, when not using copper it may be reasonable to use a water conditioner to neutralize nh3, be careful doing so while using copper.

Saltwater Ich is a whole different level of Monster compared to freshwater Ich. Just go into the Disease forum here and learn all you can. My recommendation is also to do TTM instead of copper.
