You can get a barbed connector to connect vinyl to PVC and a union would be if you were going to hard plumb the pump to the PVC. Not really necessary as you can remove the vinyl tube to take the pump out for servicing.

Seems like majority of the reefers have given you great tips to cover plumb your sump. The only thing I would suggest is to put either a gate or ball valve to on your return line to control the return flow into display.

No it wouldn't be needed if you are using a pump that you can controlI was just thinking that. Would it be needed if I’m using a vectra s1 where I can control the amount of flow?
Did the same thing with mine except my sump is in the basementOn the drain side. Not using 45s won't cause issues, just makes it less restrictive for better flow. Just food for thought
