hey everyone,

new to this hobby, now obsessed! this is my first salt water setup. found the fluval edge on clearance sale and had to get it. now i've learned that the tank is the cheapest part of the hobby lol.

I wanted to do step by step pics of my progress but i was impatient and set it up real quick. this tank is about 4-5 months old now. here's my setup

fluval edge 12 gallon
10lbs of live rock, wanting to add more soon
eheim 50 watt heater
2 koralia nano powerheads
was using the stock filter but got rid of it when i added the 2nd powerhead

2 clowns
cleaner shrimp
frogspawn
2 strawberry? snails (its what the store said, but i dont see much when i google it)

would love some advice on how to angle the powerheads for flow..

the bubble is new, guy at my lps sold it for dirt cheap because it was showing some skeleton but im hoping to make it healthy and heal up so any advice on that would be awesome

i dont mind my rock arrangment but i've tried lots of different ways and so far i like this the best

would love any suggestions or opinions on what you would do to this setup,

thanks!

Awesome that's gunna be a sweet little setup.bubble corals and frogspawns seem to like low to medium flow.to much flow can damage them and cause them to close. Most bubble coral I see are placed on the sand bed.Be careful putting coral around the bubble because they are very mean lol.what kind of lighting is over this?i would put one powerhead on the side facing up towards the surface of the water.

thanks for the tip i'll try that with the powerheads, one towards the surface and one more angled down. right i forgot about my light setup, its an ultrabrite 18w led with dimmers made just for this tank to keep the stock look

Hello Ravepartyreef, is this a pic of your tank? wow, i'm going from a 6 gallon edge to a 12 gallon and want to know best way to keep it clean. Having algae problems and organic waste build up. Can a skimmer help with the 12 gallon fluval? Don't want to start new setup till I know. Yours looks very clean, what do you do? Thanks
