First torch coral question

So I just purchased my first torch coral and put it in my tank as Of right now I just pushed it in the sand bed is that a good spot to put in in I like the location of it but will it do good just sitting in the sand it didn't have a plug on it just the base thank you for the info new to the hobby trying to get as much information as possible

I've seen them like that before without issue. just make sure theres no way for anything to fall over on top of it, or for the coral to fall over and damage itself.
i have mine mounted on a small piece of rock.
 
If my two clowns eventually host in it do u think that could lead them to knocking it over in the sand

I hope they dont, they can sometimes smother euphillia. Any nems in the tank to entice the clowns, also what type of clown...
 
I have no nems at this point was thinking possibly if any. Bta but I want other corals in the tank so that's just a maybe don't need it killing off anything in my tank and I have two vivid fancy clowns really small right now
 
Btas once planted usually stay in place. Mine are in close proximity to my corals. It is when they are looking for a perfect home they can be dangerous.
