First water change in Biocube 29

New to the whole saltwater world. My question is: When should I do my first water change on my Biocube 29 and how much water? I've heard anywhere from 10% to 30%.

After your tank is cycled, and you are getting high readings of nitrates. You can do however much you like. My tank is newly cycled, I've been doing 2 or 3 25% changes weekly, in order to get the nitrates out, and get the phosphates out. I already have coral in my tank though, so I need to be extra diligent about keeping those numbers low.

Good questions....if you don't have any live stock yet (inverts, fish, corals) you probably can do a 10% water change a week.....it really depends on how much bio load you have, what your filtration looks like (chemicals, Skimmer, etc) and what your Nitrates and Phosphates looks like....My 29 has been up and running since Dec 27, small bio load so far, and I use Chemi Blue and Purigen for my chem filter, and have a small skimmer.....right now my phosphates are at a 0, nitrates don't seem to high, so I stick with about a 10 percent change a week (2.5 to 3 gallons).
