so i finally moved all my liverock and corals to my new system which finally gave me a small algae bloom. the cycle on this aquarium didnt really happen til i did that, im assuming it has something to do with a light die off. is it safe to go ahead and do my first water change? im not big on testing. ive always relied on regular water changes, light feeding. mostly softies and some lps. one fish

Without testing results it's kinda throwing a stone in dark hoping you hit something.
But a water change never can hurt of course, you can stall the process to mature your new tank but won't harm anything.
Any pictures to show us of your newly setup tank?

ok using api my nitrates are basically undetectable, same with phosphate. i know they arent the most accurate test but i can assume that its in a relative ball park correct?
