First zoa

So this is not only my first piece of coral but my first zoa. They did not have much to choose from at my LFS. I found one about an hour away I may try to go to in a couple weeks a get another. Can anyone tell me what I have and how much bigger they will get they seem so tiny even at the store. At the store the center seemed to be a light orange under their lighting. But the names were all in Japanese and the store clerks don’t speak English.

It’s hard to tell what type of zoas you have because there not fully open . When they do open up you can go And look through the links

I just hope they get wider they are so tiny lol

Ohh there still acclimating and will open up soon

They have mostly opened up now but still tiny lol I think I got baby coral. But now that the blue lights have come on they look a lot better bright orange center green edges. My phone won’t get a good picture though with the blue lights they just look black.

So what does everyone feed their coral for best color and growth

Yes but u don’t need to ,lighting also plays a big factor in colors and growth

I’ve heard my light does a pretty good job I set it to what I’ve heard is the best

if you do decide to feed I would recommend reef chili .
Have you checked lps coral . Look into hammer,frogspawn , and torches

They had some stuff at the store I grabbed but I doubt it’s that great lol so I’d be glad to look into anything else

Definitely want to try hammer as my second piece!
