I rescued a couple of clownfish which came from a system with a salinity of1.040. I measured it a couple of times with both a handheld and a digital refractometer just to confirm as I couldn’t believe what I had seen. What’s the best way to approach this.
Thanks.

Slowly bring down the SG. Fish can tolerate a slow reduction in the SG value but not a sudden increase in SG.

Drip acclimation.

I’m actually surprised fish appear well. How slowly would you go?

Just a testament to the durability of damsels. Makes sense that mean fish seem to live forever though as it sure seems to be the case for people. :D

Just tested the sg now and it’s 1.038. Fish are doing well
